Hi folks! My AL-1200 converted to gs35b amp had a failure recently on 10m; I don't know the exact details since someone else was using it on 10m, but after inspection, it appears that the plate choke

Save yourself some time a trouble. Buy a new choke from Ameritron/MFJ or RF Parts. There only $25.00. They are would with an odd conductor size. I tried to re-wind one and could not get the resonance

It's hard to wind a good choke for 160-10 meters, including WARC. If you can copy the Ameritron choke, it seems to be a good design. I don't know the size of the strap you need, but K4MSG (Max Gain S
