The 4CX250B can be operated in grounded grid. However, you cannot tie the screen grid to the grounded control grid. Normal screen voltage must be supplied to it. Look in any of the Bill Orr handbooks

If you have lots of drive you can connect the control grid to the cathode and ground screen grid. But the cathode would have to swing 200 to 350 volts negative to get reasonable output power. This pe
