Gurus! I see a wide variation in anode volts on GS-35b designs. The pattern seems to be lower Va on VHF, higher Va on HF. A trend I see, is lower gain on lower Va (2200Va/10dB) and higher gain (4000V

Thanks EVERYONE for your help! Steve 3650 VDC is a good voltage. Anything up to 4000 is routine. You're right that gain depends strongly on voltage. I built a 432 amp with a bit under 3000v at load a
