- any tube would do good ont the lower bands....since ya got all that voltage, maybe a 4CX5000A or a 4CX5000R.....other tubes can do well too....4X1000A (whats the power level in britain anyways?) stev

- Hi Neil, If you are looking for a quiet amplifier use glass envelope tubes with radiating cooling like QB5/1750 etc. Also very nice when the low bands are open for DX to heat and illuminate the shack

- The one I got for 70cms says 1500W output - I think that's the 'standard' now. I have a pair of 4cx1500As, one base and one heater transformer if that's of interest? Steve ___________________________
