- Careing to set the filament voltage to obtain the proper emission, rather than only keeping a fixed voltage, should extend the tube life noticeably without affecting gain and output power. 73, Mauri

- Set fil. V to the nominal value, tune for max P-out with max drive. Decrease fil. V until P-out just begins to drop. Increase fil. V c. 2%. Recheck every 500 or so hours. cheers, Mauri ciao - R. L.
