I checked my voltage at the outlet for my amp. and it measured 235 volts. This was measured with a B&K 20k ohm voltmeter. Factory setting for the AL-1200 filament xfmr line voltage is setup for 245v.

The critical thing is filament v at the filament pins. For max. tube life, the low end of the rated v range is best. - Rich..., 805.386.3734, www.vcnet.com/measures. -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contes

The filament voltage must be measured at the tube sockets in order to set the taps properly. There is an exponential increase in tube life when the voltage is set slightly below specs. At +/- $600 p

. The question was about a 3CX1200A7, I thought. Measurements have shown that inrush on the heater of this series tube can exceed the limit, especially if the filament transformer is more robust than

There is no stated inrush limit for the 3CX1200A7 filament.. The 3CX1200A7 does not have a heater. True. I use a 75w reflector flood bulb over my kitchen table. Before I put an inrush current limite
