Amps, I had a poof event on my Henry 4K-U. Appears the tube went south... no power out. I opened the amp and checked for any signs of failure or damage. Found none. Replaced the tube with a 8877 pull

I meant to add. The big glass tubes cool the anodes by radiation. Base seals and anode seals are convection cooled. Black both absorbs and radiates heat more efficiently than any other color. Bob K8M

Jan, You were talking about an input relay in line #4 of your 2/28 e-mail. The relay you are describing is K5, a vacuum relay, and is a SPDT output relay. The input relay, K4, a SPST is a reed relay.
