Right you were Colin. After pulling and swapping the result was one of them had the symptom and the other didn't. Pretty clear cut. So I guess I'm on the hunt for another, first price i've seen was 1

Turned out after pulling and swapping the tubes it pretty showed one had the problem and the other didn't. Was looking in a different direction. I am wondering if there was something else wrong that

Agreed, that is the one thing i did do, is replace the zener, but no change. Looks like it is a bad tube, after swapping and pulling, the problem follows the one of them. So now for a little market r
