I never said that driven element tuning will have any effect on any?other parameters. Quick enough? -John, N9RF Please explain how driven element tuning will affect the other parameters.? ? Keep it q

Oh, for crying out loud Carl, READ my post. Where in my post did I mention driven element or tuning? I was speaking of how the three parameters; SWR, F/B, and gain are inter-related in the design of

Carl, if you are refering to poor F/B; I think you are quite correct on this point. Common-mode currents would radiate. You would then have Yagi and a vertical antenna which would degrade the directi

To the Group: I humbly apologize for my tenor in this post. While?I stand on the merits of what I wrote, I should not allow my frustration to be made public as it is unfair to the Group. Sorry, -John

Garry, I am not sure if you said if your antenna was an HF or not; nor whether it was a multiband or not. Please don't confuse a W2DU bead balun (sometimes refered as a sleeve as the beads slip over

There is no dumb question. Voltage ratings have to do with arc-over within the fuse. That is,?for a given open circuit voltage, a?fuse rated at 240V is less likely to arc over than a fuse rated at 12

Hello to all........ Has anyone modified one of these amps' power supplies so that it is possible to just switch cavities when moving to another band.....for instance to QSY from 144 mhz to 432, etc.

Gary, Although the anode connection (fingerstock of the anode by-pass plate) is on the outside of the cavity, the tuned circuit is the inside of the cavity. Due to skin effect, RF cannot not pass thr

Different, isn't it? There is no physical connection between the plate and the cavity. My Elmer, a microwaver and builder extraordinaire, once called it "Black Magic". Not satisfied with that, I scou

ok... whew! I was hoping I wasn't crazy. So you agree that when that 2c39 anode connection is poked through that anode plate, that there is no metal to metal connection to the inside of the cavity??
