Hi John, Thanks for the info. I finally found the data sheet online. It shows 100 ma each at 3kv with zero bias and 73 ma at 2500 volts. I had gotten a few replies with various amounts of current. Bo

Not if you want them to last very long. They should show no color. 600-700 watts out on 10 meters is pretty aggressive. I wouldn't expect more than 500 watts out on 10 meters on a pair. 73 Gary K4FMX

It can be surprising how much is learned by many because of a so called "stupid question". I am constantly amazed at how many people seem to proclaim the "expert status" and stumble over things that

I have to share this with others as it worked so well. While working on an amplifier I had some small screws to remove and replace that were buried deep where you could only get a screw driver in and

Hi Tom, I could see really killing it if the turns were shorted but this amp uses taps on the toroid coil it does not short the turns. The core is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and about 3 inches i

Yes you are right Tom. It gets taped from the antenna side as a normal tank coil would. No progressive shorting. So on 20 meters most of the coil is shorted. It seems to work very well on 160 and 80
