[Yaesu] ft757 display problem

Hello,
I am new to this list.  I have an FT757GX that was working just fine,
and then for one reason or another when I turned it on the display was
blank.  Occasionally when the switch is pressed it will flash, but
otherwise it stays blank.  Receive and transmit work just fine.  Any
ideas on the problem and what is the solution?
