Wow are they ever slow! I just removed the S-meter and
put it back again and the whole operation took less then
an hour.
I havent removed this display glass but it sure doesnt look
difficult at all. I´m sure your friend can do it, it´s just a
matter
of taking it easy being careful and using the brain a bit.

Hi Folks,
A friend just bought a FT-1000 and has noticed what appears to be a
hazy film on the inside of the frequency display view glass. He called
Yaesu and was told it would take 6hrs to remove the glass for cleaning.
Does anyone on the list have any first hand experience with cleaning
this
display glass?
