I do not think so. Why should that illness be limited to Europe. All what is
different
is the basic menu setup. Everybody can easily change the bandlimits or make
it transmit on ALL freqs 1.5 thru 29.9 or whatever. This is done with menu
settings
9-x.
The problem only appears when transmitting in the range 1820 to 1827. Above
1824 the spurious disappears.
It is such strong that you hear it 100+ miles away while running the exciter
only.
As soon as you add an amplifier you can attract DX on two frequencies while
calling CQ in that particular band segment.
