All,
If you are looking for a FT990 with the latest firmware, look at the back
panel. If it has a Molex connector at the bottom as the later models did,
then it probably has the latest firmware. Yaesu incorporated a provision to
run the radio off of 13.6 VDC. I have no knowledge of when the serial
numbers changed.
