[Yaesu] FT-847 CAT rx polling vs serial number

I have read that serial numbers after:

8G052xxx have the fix built in to allow the vfo information to be polled
from the 847. The original models did not have this and have to go back to
the factory for cpu replacement.

My question:

I have serial number 8G051xxx...does this supposedly have the fix, or will I
have to send it in? Also, any easy way to verify that it does or doesn't?
