All,
You might notice that the behavior of the Enter key sequence is broken in
CW mode also when you mouse click on a call from the rttyrite window
(instead of typing in the call) - because the cursor moves to the next field!
Since this movement is a dominant behavior that we all depend on in rtty
let's be careful.
What we should be asking is that the cursor movement to the next field does
not occur until the NEXT keystroke or mouse click. This would make the
Enter key behave correctly. And as long as the next keystroke was to
transmit something, the cursor would be ready for typing or mouse clicking
a report. I can't think of any other keys that are dependent on the cursor
position to transmit the proper message.
Or that the special Enter key logic not look at the cursor position but
sense if there is an entry in the Call field or not and then if there is a
complete report or not?
