Have you looked at the Flex Community? I've almost always found a solution
for problems there.

Subject: [WriteLog] Flexradio 8400M Setup
I have looked at the written instructions regarding connecting a transceiver
to writelog. And to be honest it is rather confusing because it seems that
nobody has specific setup instructions connecting a Flexradio to Writelog.
Currently I use N1MM Plus, and it works well with my transceiver.
I have my CAT File which has Com Ports for Slice A and Slice B. In the setup
of N1MM I have the transceiver picked as Flexradio and I designate what Com
Port it is to look for that particular Slice. But it seems that with
Writelog when I load the New Version of Writelog Flex Driver it is not
reading that I have two slices. I think one of the issues is because in the
Port Setup when I use Flexradio it does not ask me for a Com Port. If I pick
a Kenwood TS-2000 then it asks for a Com Port. And no doubt the Software and
Transceiver would communicate with each other. But at present either there
is another setting that I haven't made yet or know of to get with the
Flexradio Driver to communicate properly for both Slice A and Slice B of my
Flexradio. I don't know if the people at Writelog know which of their users
are using the software with a Flexradio. And also, what are they turning on
or turning off or whatever to get it to communicate properly. I have come
to the conclusion that perhaps Writelog cannot operate properly with a
Flexradio with two slice receivers. I am trying to be patient with the help
that I have received. But really what I need is a step by step process on
connecting Writelog to a Flexradio. A total breakdown of what needs to be
chosen and what doesn't need to be chosen in the the items for setup and
whatever. Is there anyone out there in Writelog Land that can help me with
this? If not, then I just lost 30.00 trying a software that evidently will
not work with my Flexradio.
