I agree and think the responsibility falls on the person doing the logging -
especially in the case of SS.
There are a limited number of multipliers, and we all know what they are -
sort of.
The program needs to accept whatever might be sent by the station being
worked, and translate it into the "standard" abbreviation for the section.
I lost credit last year for one section because I logged it as copied, WL
put in XXX since it was not the correct thing, although it was something
like DE for DEL, or DEL for DE, MD for MDC or MDC for MD, I don't recall
what the exact situation was. I admit to being somewhat lax in my
inspection of the Cabrillo file that I submitted.
To prevent this from occurring again, I edited the .INI file that contains
the definitions to include anything I might type in and to record it as the
standard abbreviation.
This year, no X's in my log.
