[WriteLog] rig control problem

The main computer I use in the shack for contesting has crashed so I am
trying to get Writelog running on my son's computer. Writelog will see the
FT1000MP on COM 1 but not the MP on COM 2. It is not the serial port because
both ports work fine when using DXBase2002. I have the correct settings in
"ports" and both com ports have the same settings in the writelog .ini file.
What am I missing here?
