Several people have reported problems with LPT port CW in
version 10.29E. All of these so far have been tracked down
to hardware setups that require the "old" behavior on LPT
port pin #1.
We don't normally post beta versions of WriteLog, but at
least 4 people have found that reverting to the old
pin 1 behavior fixes their problem, so WL 10.30A beta
is now on the WriteLog downloads page:
http://www.writelog.com/downloads.htm
Please read the instructions before downloading/installing
this beta. Very few installations will benefit.
On the "unsupported operation" problem, I recommend this:
1. in WriteLog's \programs folder, there is a program named
comreg.exe.
2. find that program and run it. It works silently. It
fixes up WriteLog's Windows registry entries.
3. Now try running WriteLog
