I've had good luck with the SIIG PCI Expander 4S (part #JJ-P04212) - 2 ports
on board, can be expanded to four ports for another $25 (add-on kit). Mine
worked right out of the box - is also getting along fine with my PCI modem -
and I've got the expansion kit on order (should be here today) - so I'll
shortly have a total of 7 serial ports (1 & 2 onboard, 3 is modem, 4-7 are
the SIIG board. www.siig.com - find good prices via shopper.cnet.com

I'm running Win98SE and haven't tried to use the ports from any DOS apps -
but it works great from WriteLog - two rigs, DXP-38, PTT line for Soundboard
AFSK, and packet TNC.

Note that I haven't tried any of the funky 5-bit Baudot type stuff with it
so can't say whether it works for that or not, but I don't see why it
wouldn't. Also note that I have *NO* ISA cards installed in my system -
everything is PCI bus and it's a fairly modern motherboard (Abit BE6, about
2 yrs old). I wouldn't necessarily expect the same results from an older
motherboard nor would I expect it to have been this easy if I were fighting
ISA boards and IRQ conflicts.
