Effective this Monday October 7th, 2024 the *2M net will move to 144.245
MHz*. In the last move, we landed on a club net near Allentown, PA on the
"new" 144.250 frequency. We mostly did not hear them because of distance,
but they sure heard our NC station with good power, location, height, & a
long beam! We quickly reached a solution suggested by their NC, where they
proposed to move their net to 144.255 if we would move ours to 144.245.
Thanks to the LVARC for letting us know and suggesting a workable solution
for both clubs. I commend their club for starting their SSB net over 2
years ago to introduce their members to the fun of VHF & Up SSB weak signal
operation. As most of you know, The Mt Airy VHF Radio Club has been
promoting VHF & UP weak signal operation for almost 68 years! Please pass
the word...
