The AA4ZZ team will be active in the June VHF Contest from our mountain top
site in NW North Carolina. We will be on 50, 144, 222, and 432 Mhz. We have
stacked beams and KWs on each band.?

Hi there,
When 6m is open like it is now, please try FT4. The 3dB loss in signal strength
does not measure up to your signal being buried by everyone else wo is also
staying on FT8.
Of course, if you?re really daring, you can try SSB or CW. ?

Funny, Wish we had that problem here. Band has been dead for me all weekend
so far.
Good luck everyone.

I?m only sporadically in the contest this time around so I have no idea how 6m
has been all weekend, I just noticed the opening and see most folks still on
FT8 while FT4 could be so much more effective if more folks would adopt it.
It?s a lot more like the old RTTY, a mode that I always liked, too. Even if
folks would spread out a little more on FT8 than just the 3kHz at 313 it would
be an improvement.
Yes, good luck to everyone!

Agreed wholeheartedly! 6m is so up and down this contest (lots of broken
Qs due to rapid QSB) that FT4 has a MUCH better chance of getting the
sequences done, quicker.
Out of the few that are running FT4 (about a dozen so far), I've had zero
broken FT4 QSOs and am running a full 25-30% incompleted Qs on FT8.
My .02, FWIW, YMMV,
