Well,
I sure don't have any real scientific evidence but it appears to me that at
least in the contests there are a lot more contacts on 222 than 1296.
I seem to get about double on 222.
Just browsing the ARRL results for Hudson Div, Atlantic div, and New Eng
Div, it also seems to
support having twice as many contacts on 222.
In addition, if you have any thoughts at all about roving, the limited rover
category is 50, 144, 222, and 432.
