OPERATORS: W3BTX
SOAPBOX: The major surprise was that only one VE was heard (and worked)
SOAPBOX: ? VE3FGU. The best DX was K9HM (EN52) and KN4SO (FM16). We had
SOAPBOX: a clean sweep with W4SHG/R in grids FM08, FM09, FM19, and FM18.
SOAPBOX: We do appreciate all the rover?s QSOs, and thanks to all of
SOAPBOX: them for getting on with these gas prices. All thanks to the
SOAPBOX: Southeastern VHF Society for sponsoring the Fall Sprints. There
SOAPBOX: were no equipment failures, (1 KW to 25 elements at 95 feet),
SOAPBOX: and we were on for the full four hours. Activity was good
SOAPBOX: despite baseball playoffs on TV. Conditions were above normal
SOAPBOX: with better than usual copy on the Packrat?s beacon and on
SOAPBOX: another in VA. CU in the 6m sprints.
