Hi Ron,
You sure can dig out stations on 222 MHz. That is a fantastic total for
activity night in Early May. I was hoping for good things up this way.
I was in the shack about 3 PM hooking up the 222 computer and noted the
K2DLL beacon was very weak. We had poor conditions at that time, with
some winds. Later on, it did not seem any better. I could not work
Howard, WA3EOQ, and that was a disappointment, but W8ZN in FM09 was good
copy. Seems that Terry, W8ZN gets the golden ear award for the night as
he worked WA1PBU on CW! WA1PBU was running 10 watts. I tried with
KB8VAO in EN92, but no luck at 550 miles. I tried looking for KE8FD too
with no success.
Here is my list of stations worked.
ND0B EME (ND0B also worked K1OR)
N1JEZ SSB
N1BUG SSB
K1RZ CW
WZ1V CW
W8ZN CW
KR1ST CW
WA3NUF FT8
N1MIW FT8
K1PXE CW
W1JR SSB
WA1PBU SSB
WA1T SSB & FT8
W1FKF FT8
W2BYP CW
WA4NJP EME
I heard N2JMH but never managed to pick him up for a QSO. I did not hear
N2SLO, K2RMX and old buddy WA2Lettuce Tomato & Mayonnaise. I was hoping
to hear K2LNS in FN11, but no luck there. The VE3s were notably absent
too.
