Greetings,
We will activate Flagpole Knob, VA, for the September ARRL VHF contest.
Same spot as usual, but looks like rain instead of the usual sunshine.
Since we have fewer ops than normal, we only have two positions; 2M/432
and 6M/222.
June piqued our interest in the digital modes. Here's our schedule (EDT):
22:00 - 23:59 Saturday - 6 M FSK441 CQ on 50.260, TX second 30 seconds,
listening 50.283.
04:00 - 0:430 Sunday - 2M, EME JT65B sked with W4NH, we are first, they
are second.
04:30 Sunday - CQ EME JT65B, 144.122 until 05:00, we will TX second (odd
minutes)
08:00 Sunday - 2M Random MS, 144.140, FSK441, TX second 30 seconds, 1 hour
09:00 Sunday - 6M Random MS, 50.260, listening 50.283, TX second 30
seconds, 1 hour
18:30 Sunday - 2M EME, CQ 144.122 JT65B until 19:30, TX second (odd minutes)
Of course, the random MS work is predicate on lack of E's, tropo, etc.
We have 1KW on 2 and 6, plus 500W on 432. Stacked yagis for 2 and 432.
Flex 5000's.
Good luck everybody and hope to see you on the bands.
