Since the reflector you posted this to was vhfcontesting@contesting.com, 
I would say that very likely no rules were broken or even stretched. A 
control operator cannot exceed the authorizations given via their 
personal license class. If Ed was only transmitting on frequencies 
authorized for Technician licensees, he was in full compliance. If he 
was transmitting within 160m through 15m, then that would be a 
violation, if and only if there was no other control op' of General or 
above present at the control point. I am not certain whether Ed Lu is a 
Tech or Tech+, so I have not made any assertion regarding 10m.

Hmmm, could we add a third dimension to Grid Squares in the manner of 
altitude. I suspect we could have some amazing scores from aeronautical 
mobile and spacecraft stations...
