Hi Jay & 222 ops,
I was hoping to make some noise on Monday afternoon/evening. My Moon
rise is at 19:15 UT. You will have Moon a short time later, and just
before 20:00 UT. Maybe there might be others who want to try a rising
Moon attempt at 222 MHz for Monday night? All it takes is a decent yagi
and low loss feedline or an antenna mtd preamp. I will be on HB9Q
Chat for 222 MHz and will also monitor ON4KST chat as well. I have
worked a few stations with single yagis and it is quite possible if
things line up. 250 watts is good, but I have worked WA3EOQ with his
single 16 el yagi and 85 watts in the shack. We needed a few tries
before everything lined up. The typical mode is Q65B-60 I usually go
2nd and frequency will be around 222.080. Let me know, so I can plan.
On Tuesday night, (222 Activity Night) things usually get going around
00:00 UT or 7 PM on the East Coast. The Moon will be a ways up then, so
no rising Moon tries are possible unless you live in Hawaii!! At 00:00
UT the Moon is up at 43 degrees in Maine and well up across the country.
I can run earlier if anyone wants to try, but I do plan to be around on
Monday afternoon starting at 19:30 or so. That is 2:30 PM on the East Coast.

Anyone up for a sked on 222 tomorrow Monday. I would love to get one
in with the new array before the Tuesday night activity night.
