Guys
During the Saturday and Sunday of the contest when looking for Q's found
a group of Trucker and Farming Equipment Drivers using 144.200 FM , calling
the guys on FM , one of them what I think was the boss answer and ask what is
Ham Radio or whats mean Ham Radio Frequency, giving to them a little
explanation about the real mean of Ham Radio Frequency and the difference to
Commercial Frequencies , they answer they have that Channel for years using it,
this guys where working on the Imperial Valley between El Centro and
Westmorlan , they claim they work just for a few days in this Area but his
company location is in SALINAS CA, i think this group of persons make several
trips at year to several locations in CA where they harvest , please keep and
Eye on those guys , they have 2 channels like they call it , 144.000 and
144.200 mhz FM , i think commercial radios or maybe amateur equipment
programmed by no ethic technician.
Is the only that i can get with the Help of Bruce N7TY who was also on the
Freq trying to move this guys from there, i hope this help to move the
commercial use of the ham band ,at least from this group.
