I am planning to go out again with a ten or eleven band rover. I have a new 10
GHz system (20db improvement on the old one) and expect to integrate a 24 GHz
weak signal system. Even a wafer thin extra band takes a bunch of work. I am
moving a little less often to allow greater time on higher bands.
I will run legacy modes as much as practical and will use FT8 as needed. FM
available on all bands. I will monitor 146.55, 223.5 and 222.137 (FT8 often
ties up 6m and 2m) as much as possible . When running FT8 the 222 station is
available for SSB/CW. I accept skeds. I meet them on 144.237 (and call CQ
here as much as practical) , please e-mail ve3oil@yahoo.ca and I will return a

The most recent forecast calls for some degrees below freezing with little wind
and no snow. The dustings that are expected should be cleared by the weekend.
A challenge, but much less miserable than the just above freezing with wind and
rain we had Friday.
I plan to be 'on the hill' until the bitter end. If you are watching one of
the games wander to the shack at half-time but don't tell me scores as I am
recording the games to watch on Monday.
When the wheels are not turning the VFO and rotors will be.
