It is quite sad to read and observe the lack of VHF/UHF activity these days.
This Sprint was my first ever 432 MHz event from my QTH (EM79ol). I worked one
person ~16 miles away between 7 and 8:30pm local.
With my M2 beam only at 30 feet, no rotor, and 25 watts, I guess I could not
expect too much. I did hear several other stations in the noise, but not well
enough to get their attention.
I would like to put the 220 module in my 736, but that is a lot of money if the
activity level will be the same or worse that 432.
Having recently acquired this radio, I cannot confirm that it is working 100%
either.
