>From here in the NorthEast (my grid FN30) the conditions were much better
than the flat June & August conditions. From here 6M only opened to the
mid-South (Alabama-Texas) briefly on Saturday afternoon, and there was tropo
enhancement up/down the East coast Sat evening/night. Nothing unusual on
Sunday.
You can see realtime VHF propagation from APRS network stations at
http://www.mountainlake.k12.mn.us/ham/aprs/index.html which is very helpful
to show you where the enhanced propagation is. Remember to refresh the
webpage to update conditions.
You can also see current claimed (unofficial) scores (and post your own)
from the contest(s) at the N.E.W.S. group without having to wait for the
ARRL sloooooow reporting. Goto http://www.newsvhf.com/ and scrol down to
Rumoured Scores from recent VHF/UHF Contests to post or see results. Click
on "totals" to see the summary of Band QSOs/Grids info. Reports from all
around the country and older contests.
'Hope this is helpful. SU in Jan 08.
