Unless your vertical load is more that your rotator can handle, there is
no advantage to a "thrust bearing" over a simple collar. The collar has
the advantage that it can be split, and in most cases installed with no
gymnastics involved; just a little ingenuity. Might need to drill a few
new holes in your top plate.
