A critical part of reliable crank-up tower operation is regular
maintenance including lubricating the moving parts - the cables and pulleys.
I'm happy to announce that TOWER TECH is now a distributor of PreLube 6 - the
premier lubricant for moving metal parts and wire rope cable. It stops
squeaks, removes moisture, prevents rust and penetrates the strands of the
cable. PreLube 6 contains rust inhibiting polymers in a penetrating oil to
provide a thin, transparent lubricating film against corrosion. This product
is used and recommended by TriEx and other tower manufacturers. It is
available in 12 oz. spray cans and costs $7.50 per can (+ s/h). Recommended
usage is a minimum of twice a year in conjunction with a semi-annual tower
inspection/PM.
