Pete ..... I think the simple answer is that if your transceiver is astute
enough to "roll-back" the power when confronted with an offending load, you
are safe.

Guys, all I asked was whether I could do any harm to my transceiver by
operating it into a high-SWR load, or at least one high enough to cause the
output power to be folded back by the protective circuitry.
I think the answer is no, but all I'm seeing from you guys is a replay of
Breune vs Maxwell, or something. How about staying on point long enough to
answer the original question, and then return to your rasslin'
