No one should be under the load anyway, so you needn't be worried about
running away - you are not cutting down a tree.  The main concern should be
control of the lift.  Wrapping the rope once around behind you, while you
face the tower, then draping/looping the dead end over the taut/live end
once or twice in a suitable fashion to lock it with one of your hands, means
the lifter does not have to worry about loosing grip.  He can back up slowly
watching the lift the entire time.  Additional lifters can stand between him
(the anchor guy) and the load and grab the line.  Unless the antenna is
HUGE, the additional lifters can let go and the anchor guy can still hold
it.
