There's no such thing as ruined Scotch. Some are just better than others.
And to keep this on topic, don't use either good or bad if you are going to
climb a tower.

Yes, I can confirm that. I recently threw away a few cases of Scotch 33
that had been stored out in the garage for a few years. Ambient temp in
there exceeds 120F in the summer for weeks on end.
