According to the book I have on concrete it states a 60# bag of concrete is
1/2 a cubic foot!!! I believe unless you are doing a small job the bag
method is to much work. Also I figured it out when I was ready to pour my
base and it was a little cheaper to have the truck come out and pour the
base.
Another thing is when you mix your own you are guessing amount the strength
of the mix. When you order 3000 lb mix from a concrete company you know you
are getting 300lb mix. When you mix it you are not sure what it is
