Many thanks to all who directed me to PstRotator. The software has client
and server modes, so that will be nearly ideal here.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Internet Control of M2 Rotator Controllers

Looking for ideas to control a pair of existing M2 RC2800PX rotator units
through
the Internet. The M2 control box has a DB-9 serial connection that can
be
converted to USB with an adapter. A dedicated PC is being installed at
the remote site, so we would like to run software control through the PC
rather than serial-to-LAN servers or station control hardware devices, at
least for now.

I looked at DDUtil software but it seems that LP-Bridge may be needed to
negotiate data between the M2 controllers and DDUtil software. I¹m not
opposed to that but we¹re looking for a simple and reliable way to get
this up and running, then possibly move to a more exotic means in the
future. Anything that uses HRD in any way is absolutely not an option.
Tnx!

Paul, W9AC
