Assuming the math regarding the force that will be imposed upon the winch
presented
by others  is correct,
and it certainly seems logical so far, my 45+ years in the construction
industry framing buildings
tells me that if you were to securely fasten 2 additional studs along side
one of the existing wood
studs in the garage wall, making sure that all 3 were also securely
fastened to the top and bottom plates
of the wall, and that the bottom plate of the wall is anchored to the
foundation wall or slab by means of anchor
bolts, and the top plate of the wall is tied in to the roof, and the winch
is securely fastened to the 3-stud
assembly, you will have no trouble safely lifting the load you have
described. I am not an engineer but
I would bet the farm that this method would work for you.
