My experience with Al wire (my service drop to my main breaker is
aluminum) is that oxidation isn't the problem. The problem with
aluminum wire is that it cold flows over a period of several years.
Once every few years I take a big flat head screwdriver and carefully
tighten the breaker bolts if they need it. Maybe the 8800 is good for
Al to Al in wire nuts.
