Great feedback, guys....Ouch... I wonder if it was an intentional design
decision by Yaesu, or just a poorly toleranced connector. I hate it when
marketing folks purposely demand incompatible designs in order to sole
source parts and accesories.
I answered my earlier question, with a quick search of the net, and
found huge numbers of high volume cable suppliers that, if you
do targeted searches on their internal search engines, you should
be able to find nearly any connector or adapter or cable you need.
I once got a baptism of pressure when I had to do a 13 pin DIN by
hand for an underwater videocam, while at sea....each hour at sea
not collecting data or such, costs bundles when ship time is $10K/day.
The looks over your shoulder by the crew while you strip, tin and
solder, add years to your life, in mere weekends.
