The 40-2CD is known to 'almost' have a resonance on 17 meters, where the loading coils are almost chokes. This may spoil the log's performance/SWR on that band. Best bet would be to model the whole mess. There's a pretty good model for the 40-2CD floating around (available from me on request); and you could generate a model for the log from the manual... -Tony, K1KP, fisher@hp-and2.an.hp.com |
