Hmmm:
Gather thev desire to run the tribander vertical is because of restrction on
turning radius because of trees.
It is agreed, I think that if this is done the performance of the antenna
will be none too good, and there are mechanical issues that challenge.
Raises question:
Is it not possible to use the antenna in its intended vertical mode. Can it
be raised a little above the tree tops?
Or can it be sited so that it can swing within the trees with a bit of
judicious pruning of branches?
Or reduce the turning radius of the antenna?
Chop of the director, run it as two element.?
Rebuild with the parts of the elements beyond the 10m section pointed
downwards?
Buy one of those Japanese beams that have small turning radius because they
have little loading coils and spikes pointing inwards at the ends of the 10m
resonators?
Or maybe sneak a horizontal loop through the trees, as big as you can make
it. Cheap, discreet, likely to be pleasantly surprised by the result.
