| Good suggestions.
OK how about the inside of the tube(s)? They get gunked up just as bad as the
outside of the next size. I was thinking of ordering some brass spiral brushes
of the correct diameters from McMaster Carr and spinning them up with a drill
for my 40m beam rejuvenation.

Tim,
For cleaning Aluminum tubing I've used: Leather or heavy duty rubber gloves,
green Scotch Brite pads, and WD40 as a lubricant. It's a little messy (that's
why the gloves) but the metal cleans up fairly well. Whip it down with some old
rags after cleaning. Oh, and you WILL use a few "Greenies" and lots of rags.
Good luck on the project.
Just my $.02............
