Thanks every one for your replies. I was misinformed, the adjustable
elements are just a tad over 17 feet when extended.
I did get one suggestion from a contact in Colorado who said if the
feedline comes well away from the antenna on the midline at right angles
to the antenna just hook it up sans chokes or baluns and go for it,
especially on QRP.
