AFAIK, a half wave loop at resonance is "voltage feed", meaning the impedance is extremely high. It is probably a lot easier to just leave the loop open and feed it at the center point of the wire as if it were a bent dipole. Of course if you have omit the 4th side of this loop, you now have a Moxon dipole element. Am I missing something here.
