It's all about risk and liability these days. Tower manufacturers will "over engineer" the tower and foundation specs. because they don't want to be sued. If something goes wrong they can prove yhat of you followed their instructions the tower just could not fall down. Once you deviate from their recommendations, you are proceeding at your own risk.
