While on the raising/lowering of vertical, and specifically Tarheel antennas subject, I am considering putting one of their Model 100 mobile antennas on my big metal roof, with, say, a 10 ft whip, running about 800 watts. Their eHam reviews are universally good, and I've talked to the owner. Anyone with any thoughts or experience? I also would like to be able to drop it during stormy weather, but think their remotely actuated mount a bit pricy.
